A deadly night of violence has struck Pakistan’s Balochistan province where coordinated militant attacks have left 10 security personnel martyred. Authorities say the assaults targeted multiple locations including Quetta Gwadar and other key towns and came from groups linked to the Balochistan Liberation Army.
Security forces responded immediately engaging in heavy gun battles and clearance operations. In the process at least 37 suspected militants were killed preventing the attackers from taking control of critical installations or causing further civilian harm. Operations are ongoing as authorities hunt for any remaining insurgents.
Balochistan has long been a hotspot of separatist violence with Islamabad accusing foreign backed networks including India linked groups of supporting militants allegations New Delhi denies. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and military officials have condemned the attacks honoring the fallen and pledging to continue counter terror operations to protect civilians and restore security.
The attacks underscore the persistent challenges of militancy in the region with security forces on high alert to prevent further bloodshed. Authorities have assured the public that operations will continue until all threats are neutralized highlighting the ongoing commitment to maintaining peace in the insurgency affected province.
