Russia launched another large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, killing at least 10 people and injuring dozens more in one of the latest assaults on the city.

According to Ukrainian officials, the overnight attack involved multiple waves of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones, triggering air raid sirens and explosions across several districts of the capital.

Emergency crews rushed to damaged residential buildings, where firefighters battled blazes and rescue teams searched through the rubble for survivors trapped beneath collapsed structures.

Several homes, civilian buildings, and critical infrastructure were damaged as debris scattered across the city, forcing residents to seek shelter during the hours-long assault.

The latest strike comes just days after another massive Russian attack on Kyiv killed at least 31 people, highlighting the continued intensity of Moscow's aerial campaign against Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities condemned the attack, describing it as another deliberate strike on civilian areas, while renewing calls for stronger international support and additional air defence systems.

Residents spent the night in underground shelters as air defence units worked to intercept incoming missiles and drones.

As rescue operations continue and damage assessments are carried out, Kyiv remains on high alert amid fears of further Russian attacks in the coming days.
